I am pleased to announce that the staff from Safe Kids Worldwide Programs are releasing "new" fact sheets for all risk areas and issues we promote through risk areas at the conference.
We are interested in hearing your feedback after your review.
Looking forward to seeing everyone and best wishes to a wonderful conference.

We are delighted to welcome all of our wonderful friends to the Safe Kids Worldwide Leadership Conference. The opportunity to share experiences and to renew friendships is essential to the progress of our mission.
Please make the effort to meet a new member of the network and to share your passion for children. As we embrace a new strategic plan we will find new opportunities to increase our reach into the community to save young lives. Safe Kids Worldwide is fortunate to have you as a leader committed to the safety of children. Please let us know how we can meet your expectations for a successful experience.
I look forward to interacting with each of you and to learn of your innovative programs. I sincerely appreciate your talent and the wonderful effort you make to save the lives of children.
Warmest personal regards, Dr. Ike

Friends: My colleagues on the SKW board and staff are very eager to engage you, and to learn from you, about how to save more lives and what we can do, as your partners, to support you in that work.
We are especially looking forward to our discussions on Friday about the new Clarity, Capacity, Credibility strategic plan. In my many discussions with member countries, coalitions, chapters, sponsors and others I heard repeatedly that SKW needs to clarify key elements of our strategy and our service model, that we need to build more capacity and do more to help you build capacity and, finally, that we need to strengthen our credibility as a partner in the public health community. That is what our new plan is about. Your reactions, counsel, refinement and, finally, partnership are crucial to our success.
And, in the case of SKW success is literally vital--it means kids' lives saved.
Please make a point of introducing yourselves to me and to my staff colleagues and telling us how we can be better partners, through the Clarity, Capacity and Credibility plan and beyond.
Pat

It's hard to believe its conference time again!
We are very excited to welcome you all to DC for another great conference. You will be happy to know we have listened to your feedback and built on the successes of previous conferences. We have kept the various tracks for sessions, shortened and improved the Awards Dinner, and secured great speakers for our plenary sessions. We have also added opportunites for attendees to network with one another and SKW staff with round table sessions. And most importantly, we have limited the amount of time Alan Korn will be addressing the attendees.
We look forward to see old friends and welcoming new ones, and making the 2007 conference the best yet. See you soon!
Dan

Tanya Chin Ross and I are excited to see you all. Please make a point to find us if we haven't personally met before.
Everybody remind Tanya that Tuesday, October 16 is National Boss Day. She often forgets I "butter her bread".

I can't tell you how excited we are to have everyone coming to Washington next week. Leadership Conference is a lot of work for all of us attending, but it's also a great time to re-energize our efforts in support of kids.
There is a lot to be excited about this year at LC...a big increase in Safe Kids attendance, a big increase in attendance by other colleagues in the public health field, and a remarkable schedule of content-rich plenaries and breakouts.
We're glad you all are coming!
